• Provided a key management role in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-123 self assessment review of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) ’ (Central and Regional Offices, Data Centers, and Medicare contractors) Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) Services. This internal review encompassed Medicare Hospital (Part A) and Medicare Medical (Part B), Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Prescription Drug Program (Part D) and Medicaid/SCHIP

• Provided management of the Review and validation of Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Prescription Drug Program (Part D) claims by private insurers for contract compliance, medical necessity, eligibility, secondary payers, correct coding, Pre-Certification and payment validation to fee schedule

• Provided Subject Matter Expert opinions involving healthcare legal issues

• Assisted in the design and implementing the Medicare Contractor Reform Initiative for CMS which is the current framework utilized in administering the Medicare Fee For Service environment

• Provided Subject Matter Expertise in the reengineering of a Financial Process for a Government Healthcare contractor and a commercial Insurance company

• Participated in Compliance Reviews of Medicare Contractors to ensure that all the regulatory requirements were being adhered to

• Provided Subject matter Expertise to develop a Medicare FFS Back-end Print and Mail Current Environment Study Report to increase standardization and efficiency, reduce costs, and move towards consolidation of claims processing and a paperless operational environment.
