Medicare Medical Review and Appeal Fee-for– Service Best Practice Study subcontract with PriceWaterhouseCoopers under contract with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) The project involved the on-site review of twenty-one Medicare Fee for Service Contractors Medical Review and Appeals operations including information systems, imaging and reporting for best practices. The scope of the review included Medical Review, case management, workflow management, internal and external communications and reporting. The project was to result in the development of the Medical Review and Appeal best practices database for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
